Friends of 3Love share their testimonies: What would you like to give thanks for this year?

On the occasion of Thanksgiving Day, we at 3Love Inc. decided to contact friends from partner institutions to ask them to answer the following question: “If you could give thanks for a special reason or event that happened this year, what would it be?”. Below, we share their answers. We give thanks for having the unconditional support of all of them in the search for the creation of a world where every life is valued.

Nikki Caswell, Founder of the Rescue Center for Street Dogs “Colitas con Canas”:

“I am grateful for finding like-minded people who share my passion for helping homeless dogs. Our partnership with 3Love shows how teamwork, shared values and vision can create real change. Together, we are saving dogs, supporting our community, and caring for the planet. Our united efforts can achieve so much more than we ever could alone”.

Corinne Susini, Founder of the Rescue Center for Street Dogs “Colitas con Canas”:

“While riding a motorbike around the Philippines this year, I stumbled upon a dog in a desperate state. She was sicker and more neglected than any street dog I’d ever seen. With the kind-hearted help of the hotel owner I was staying with (who turned out to be a fellow dog lover) and a compassionate local vet, we got her to the clinic for urgent care. I named her Layla. She stayed under the vet’s long-term care, and I covered all her recovery expenses. The best part? The vet decided to adopt her. Layla has since recovered and has been given a second chance in life. For this, I am very grateful”.

Emily Ellis, Founder of the Rescue Center for Street Dogs “Colitas con Canas”:

“Colitas con Canas is thankful for the opportunities we had to save more at risk dogs, for our new partnership with 3Love that allows us reach more dogs and owners in the community. Every step along this road has been a blessing, connecting to children and schools, spay and neuter campaigns, and each new dog that has come to us. Our hearts, and especially those of the dogs, are full of love and gratitude”.

Déborah Grández, Director of Capaz Perú:

“I would like to thank life for allowing me to dedicate myself to what I love, because my work contributes to the construction of a better country. I would like to thank my family for accompanying me in every achievement, in every success, in every mistake, in every challenge. Thanks also to life for allowing me to lead such a professional team committed to the rights of people with disabilities and to the development of our country. I am very grateful that people trust in my work, in my speech, in my way of being. I am also grateful to life for allowing me to move forward and backward as many times as I want, for my own good. And finally, I am grateful to myself for welcoming uncertainty, for welcoming error, for enjoying what I do”.

Élodie (Songwoon) Kim, Founder of Kore Partners:

“I’m grateful that I started to volunteer for a disabled child after working with 3Love. It changed my perspective.”

Cristina Miranda, Director of C.E.B.E. “San Francisco de Asís”:

“On behalf of the children, youth and their families, I thank 3Love, who have implemented, among other things, the baking workshop “Juan Diego Martinez”. This year a group of young students with multiple disabilities accompanied by their mothers, made cakes, breads and sold them to generate their own income”.

Leslie Aliaga, Representative of the Soup Kitchen Yesenia Saenz:

“First of all, I am grateful to God for my health and all the good things that are happening to me, such as the opportunity to learn new things. I am also thankful to 3Love for their support in this apprenticeship in baking. This year I had some falls and I learned from all of that, but I always come out ahead. I am close to finishing my Bakery and Pastry career and for all this I thank God and 3Love for their support”.
